Internships for First-Year and Sophomore Students
"Are you a first-year or sophomore undergraduate student curious about teaching STEM in secondary school?
Would you like to work with a teacher in their classroom for a week to learn more about the work of teaching?"
Then our "Try Teach!" Internship program is for you!!
Interested in learning more about this opportunity? Keep informed by filling out this brief Internship Interest Form.
Who? First-year and sophomore students interested in teaching STEM subjects in secondary schools.
What? Actively support a secondary STEM teacher in regional school classrooms for a whole work week.
When? One week during WSU Winter or Spring Break. For the Spring Break option, resident students can stay on campus during the week.
Pay?Intern will receive a $600 stipend for participating actively and fully in the program
First-year or sophomore WSU undergraduate student
Interested in teaching STEM in secondary school. (Typically involves completing a major in fields like Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Mathematics.)
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Applications will be distributed once they are available.
